教會的講台信息常會提到聖經中的預表，例如：神要亞伯拉罕把獨子以撒獻上，是預表祂日後要為世人的罪而把獨子耶穌獻在壇上；妓女喇合透過掛在窗外的朱紅線而得蒙拯救，是預表基督的十架救贖；古時的洪水滅世，是要預表在末後的日子，世界也會遭逢一次滅世的災劫，而且洪水前的人類之光景如何。
預表是一個很值得信徒去思想的課題，然而，聖經本身其實絕少直接提到哪些事件有著預表的意義，於是人們解釋預表時，就往往帶有一點點主觀或神祕的色彩，亦容易陷入靈意解經的網羅中。現時坊間討論預表的書籍并不多，故本書作者嘗試深入淺出地簡述聖經中三十多個「可能」有預表或表徵意義的故事，并期盼讀者以小心謹慎的態度去探索之。

作者簡介

禤浩榮，香港出生，中學畢業後赴加拿大讀預科及大學（西門菲莎大學，Simon Fraser University），主修生物學。畢業後回港任教中學，後再赴加拿大維真神學院（Regent College）修讀道學碩士。八七年回港牧會及繼續進修，先後修畢中國神學研究院（CGST）神學碩士課程及美國加州福樂神學院（Fuller Theological Seminary）教牧學博士課程。禤先生與妻子鄭永瑜及兩女兒（雁婷及燕衡）現居於加拿大溫哥華，他現為溫哥華列治文門諾會平安堂傳道。

禤先生另著有「但以理書與啟示文學」、「聖經中的希伯來人」、「圖片舊約四千年」及「淺談聖經預言」，譯有「兩約之間」。
