聖經創世記記載，古時人類作孽極重，導致上帝以洪水滅世，潔淨大地。只有義人挪亞一家八口在上帝啟示下，建造方舟以避洪水，從而得救，並在洪水退去後在地上繁生眾多，人類再次遍滿地面。古代的洪水，不單將邪惡世人滅絕，其巨大沖力與重量也在多方面改變了整個世界。而且洪水事件也有著很深遠的神學及預表意義，如耶穌說，「挪亞的日子怎樣，人子降世也要怎樣」。滅世洪水，改變了世界，也遙指末後日子，因此它既是昨日的事，也是關乎今日及明日世界的事，值得我們再三反思。

作者簡介

禤浩榮，香港出生，中學畢業後赴加拿大讀預科及大學（西門菲莎大學，Simon Fraser University），主修生物學。畢業後回港任教中學，後再赴加拿大維真神學院（Regent College）修讀道學碩士。八七年回港牧會及繼續進修，先後修畢中國神學研究院（CGST）神學碩士課程及美國加州福樂神學院（Fuller Theological Seminary）教牧學博士課程。禤先生與妻子鄭永瑜及兩女兒（雁婷及燕衡）現居於加拿大溫哥華，他現為溫哥華列治文門諾會平安堂傳道。

禤先生另著有「但以理書與啟示文學」、「聖經中的希伯來人」、「永恆的十誡」、「圖片舊約四千年」及「淺談聖經預表」，譯有「兩約之間」。
